artists statement

 As an oil painting artist, I am  committed to creating works that are marked by care, respect, and truth.  I believe that art has the power to inspire, educate, and bring people  together, and I strive to create pieces that reflect these values.

When  I approach a new painting, I do so with the utmost care and attention  to detail. Each brushstroke is placed with intention, and I take the  time to ensure that every element of the composition is carefully  crafted. I believe that this level of care and attention is essential  for creating a piece that is not only visually appealing, but also  emotionally resonant.

I also  approach my work with a deep respect for the medium of oil painting and  its rich history. I am constantly studying the techniques and styles of  the old masters, and I strive to incorporate their methods and  approaches into my own work. At the same time, I am always looking for  ways to push the boundaries of the medium and to create something new  and fresh.

Perhaps most  importantly, I am committed to creating art that is truthful and  authentic. I believe that art should be a reflection of the world as it  is, and I strive to create pieces that are honest and true to life.  Whether I am painting a portrait, a landscape, or a still life, I am  always striving to capture the essence of my subject and to present it  in a way that is both beautiful and meaningful.
